Pastor Steven Spears
LEAD PASTOR
Steven Spears was appointed lead pastor of the New Covenant Cleveland in April of 2019. Steve brings a wealth of pastoral experience to his ministry at New Covenant, previously having served in other head pastor, associate pastor, and youth pastor roles. He and his family also served as missionaries in Colombia in the 1990s.
Steve holds his Master of Divinity Degree from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary (2012) in Cleveland, TN, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (2019) in Boston, MA specializing in Global Pentecostalism. He is the recipient of the American Bible Society Award for Biblical Language and New Testament Studies and he teaches as an adjunct professor at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary. Steve and his wife Darlene have been married for 43 years; they have been blessed with five children and six grandchildren.

Kim Blackaby
CHILDREN'S PASTOR
Kim Blackaby has been leading the Children's Ministry at New Covenant for 7 years. She holds a Master's in School Counseling and has worked as a high school counselor for 19 years. She is currently pursuing her Ed.S. in School Administration and Leadership at Lee University. Kim also teaches students internationally through VIPKID.
Kim's heart for children centers around 3 main themes: 1) helping kids see and understand the intentionality of God's love and care for all of creation by exploring the world of nature; 2) creating a safe and caring space for kids to ask questions about who God is and the world around them; 3) helping kids to see their ability to actively show God's love to everyone.
Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and 2 dogs on the soccer field, hiking, and exploring new places.

Tiffany Skinner
MUSIC LEAD
Tiffany Skinner has been leading congregational worship for almost 2 decades.
Learning to sing growing up in church and harmonizing along with her dad, music has been a cherished source of personal and public devotion her whole life. As a teenager, Tiffany taught herself the guitar and has been actively playing on church worship teams ever since.
Each week at New Covenant, she studies the Lectionary texts choosing songs that highlight relevant themes for the congregation. Tiffany’s heart is to inspire genuine worship and adoration for God by pointing back to His endless love, kindness, goodness, and majesty. She holds her Master of Arts in Ministry (2016) from Lee University in Cleveland, TN.

Rebecca Brannon
YOUTH DIRECTOR
Rebecca is a lifelong member of New Covenant who has served the youth and children for over 15 years. As a youth minister her time and heart are invested in the everyday lives of the youth ranging from their athletic events, academics, and weekly reflections on Scripture. Rebecca is attentive to the questions and needs of the youth and opens space for them to explore what it looks like to follow Jesus in daily life. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Teaching at Lee University.
